Max R. Scharf was born in 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri where he currently resides with his wife, Esther. He was formally trained at Washington University School of Fine Art in St. Louis in the early 1950’s. In 1953 he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Subsequently he was sent to Engineering Drafting School at Ft. Belvoir, VA. Upon completion of the drafting course he was assigned to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO to work in a field printing plant as an Army Artist, Film Stripper and Plate-maker. To this day he credits that training as a vital part of his artistic skills.

Christine M. Scharf I was born and raised in a beautiful part of New Jersey about an hour from New York City. Art History was my undergraduate major, and I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have been using computers and photography as media for my creativity for 10 years, and I have been freelancing since 1998. I owe my technological skills to my father, my multi-tasking skills to my mother, and a great amount of thanks to both of my parents for supporting me through all my interests. I enjoyed designing pages in New York for awhile, but I am currently freelancing from Barcelona, Spain.

Juni 1942 in Darmstadt) studierte an der "Akademie für Tonkunst" in Darmstadt und der "Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und bildende Künste" in Berlin und schloß sein Studium mit dem Staatsexamen als Orchestermusiker ab. Von 1966-1969 war er Solopauker beim Symphonischen Orchester Berlin.
